About us.
Moving forward together.
Respect │ Trust │ Sincerity │ Tolerance │ Open-mindedness
The CEMO Group is one of the leading manufacturers of professional systems for the safe hazardous material storage. We are the specialists when it comes to the safe storage and transport of fuels and operating materials, chemicals and lithium-ion batteries.
An unusual success story, all thanks to wine: Erhard Mödinger replaced heavy wooden barrels and grape vats with lighter, durable GRP containers – an idea that laid the foundations for CEMO’s success.
Moving forward together. Swabian ingenuity combined with respect for people.
We treat one another fairly, inspire one another and solve problems together.

Growth through innovation.
An unusual success story.
Since 1960.
The success story of CEMO began with grape pomace and GRP drums: In Weinstadt, a wine-growing region in Baden-Württemberg, Erhard Mödinger had the idea of replacing the wooden barrels used by winegrowers and farmers to store and transport liquids with lighter and more durable GRP containers. Initially a two-man business, the company – then known as CHEMO – quickly became well-known and successful in Weinstadt and the surrounding area.
Today, with over 300 employees, CEMO is one of the leading companies in the field of hazardous material storage, with production and sales sites in Germany, Austria, France and the United Kingdom.
We attach just as much importance to the protection of people and the environment as we do to the use of high-quality materials.

Development of the CHEMO heat storage range, including complete control and regulation systems.
The 1980s
The fall of the Berlin Wall brought the Cold War to an end. Chernobyl served as a warning to exercise caution, whilst computers became part of everyday life.
