Mobile refuelling systems from CEMO
Safety and Mobility in accordance with ADR
CEMO Glossary: Terms explained briefly
Term |
Explanation |
| ADR | European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Hazardous Materials by Road. Regulates the authorised transport of fuels and other hazardous materials in mobile refuelling systems on public roads. |
|
Tradespeople’s Regulation (ADR 1.1.3.1 c) |
A provision in the ADR facilitating the transport of small quantities of dangerous goods carried for the purpose of carrying out operational activities outside the actual transport operation – e.g. diesel for operating the operator’s own machines|devices. In the case of diesel, fixed quantity limits apply per container and in total. |
| H224 / H225 / H226 | Hazard statements (H-phrases) in accordance with the GHS/CLP Regulation for the classification of flammability: H224 = extremely flammable (e.g. petrol), H226 = flammable (e.g. diesel). The classification influences the applicable safety requirements for storage and transport. |
| GHS | Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals – the basis for hazard statements such as H224–H226. |
| WGK (Water Hazard Class) |
Classification of a substance according to its potential to harm aquatic environments (WGK 1–3). Due to its properties, petrol is classified higher than diesel, which results in stricter safety requirements. |
| flashback arrestor | A technical safety device that prevents a flame from the outside from flashing back into a container containing flammable vapours and igniting them. |
| Explosion-proof |
Marking for electrical equipment (e.g. pumps) with certification|admission|approval for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. |
| HVO100 | HVO100 is a renewable, paraffinic diesel fuel. |
| AdBlue® | An aqueous urea solution for exhaust after-treatment in diesel vehicles fitted with an SCR catalytic converter. Not classified as a hazardous substance under the ADR; therefore, it is not subject to dangerous goods regulations during transport. Registered trade mark – always written with ®. |
| Viscosity (cSt) | A measure of the viscosity of a lubricant. The choice of suitable pump technology depends on the viscosity of the medium in question (e.g. up to a maximum of 2,000 cSt for CEMO trolleys). The higher the viscosity, the more viscous the medium. |
Mobile diesel fuel refuelling systems
With CEMO’s mobile diesel refuelling systems, you can always perform refuelling of your vehicles and machines according to the applicable rules and regulations. The legal framework governing the use of mobile refuelling systems for diesel and other hazardous substances is set out in the European Agreement, the ADR.
If you wish to make use of the unrestricted transport provision under the tradesmen’s exemption (ADR 1.1.3.1. c), you must comply with certain conditions. These include, for example, that no more than 450 litres of diesel per container and 1,000 litres of diesel in total may be transported.
Compatible with HVO 100.
Liquid, renewable fuel.
Recharge wirelessly. Recharge with CEMO.
Refuel quickly and easily – and save valuable time in the process

Mobile petrol refuelling systems
Petrol (H 224: ‘extremely flammable’) is subject to particularly strict legal requirements when used in mobile applications. Unlike diesel fuel (H 226: ‘flammable’), it is classified as an extremely flammable liquid under the GHS and, due to its low flash point and higher water hazard class under the WHG, is subject to more stringent safety requirements.
The transport of petrol throughout Europe is governed by the ADR regulations on the transport of dangerous goods. These cross-border regulations set out clear requirements for containers and the transport of dangerous substances.
Designed for the safe handling of highly flammable fuels.
Reliable technology for the legally compliant operation of mobile petrol supply systems.
BENEFITS OF A CEMO PETROL TANK SYSTEM

Mobile AdBlue® refuelling systems
More and more modern machines, commercial vehicles and tools are using AdBlue® to effectively reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. For operators, this means that a reliable, clean and straightforward supply is essential. As AdBlue®, being an aqueous urea solution, is not classified as a hazardous substance, it is not subject to ADR regulations – a significant advantage for day-to-day transport and flexible operations.
CEMO offers mobile AdBlue® refuelling systems|refilling systems for various applications – robust, practically equipped and ideal for businesses wishing to refuel their fleet directly on site.

Mobile refuelling systems for oil and lubricants
Although lubricants such as engine, gearbox or hydraulic oils are not classified as hazardous materials under the ADR, it is nevertheless essential to handle them responsibly. Even small quantities can leave visible oil stains and contaminate work surfaces or the environment. CEMO’s mobile refuelling systems|refilling systems enable clean, controlled and efficient refuelling – right where it is needed.
Choosing the right pump technology is particularly important. The pumps in CEMO systems are precisely designed to suit the different viscosities of the respective fluids. This ensures reliable delivery that is both gentle and efficient. The right model is available for every application.
