CEMO’s stationary refuelling systems
CEMO CUBE
Modern petrol stations often consist of separately combined components. The basic unit is a tank, supplemented by a pump as the dispensing unit. However, this modular design often results in unprotected components and protrusions that interfere with the refuelling process.
CUBE refuelling systems are fully integral, turnkey systems for the stationary storage and dispensing of diesel, AdBlue®, lubricants or heating oil. All components are housed safely within the system, thereby reducing the risk of damage and tripping hazards.
Clear technical and legal requirements apply to the operation of a diesel refuelling station for own consumption. It is intended exclusively for refilling the operator’s own vehicles and may dispense a maximum of 100,000 l per year. The basis for this is a specifically designed storage tank and a filling point that complies with standards. The AwSV and TRwS 781 set out the key requirements for planning, installation and operation.
Compatible with HVO 100.
Liquid, renewable fuel.
CEMO Glossary: Terms explained briefly
Term |
Explanation |
| AwSV |
The Ordinance on Facilities for the Handling of Water-Hazardous Substances sets out the technical requirements nationwide for storage, filling and handling facilities for water-hazardous substances. |
| TRwS | DWA Technical Regulation on Substances Hazardous to Water: ‘Petrol Stations for Motor Vehicles’. Specifies the requirements of the AwSV for petrol stations, including on-site refuelling points. |
| On-site refuelling station / yard refuelling station | A storage and filling facility not open to the public, used exclusively for refilling the operator’s own vehicles and equipment (Section 2(12) AwSV). |
| HVO100 (paraffinic diesel fuel) |
Renewable, paraffinic diesel fuel that can be used as a drop-in alternative to fossil diesel in compatible refuelling systems|refilling systems. |
| WGK (water hazard class) | Diesel is classified as WGK 2 (significantly hazardous to water), petrol as WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water), and biodiesel as WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water). This classification influences the technical requirements for the storage facility. |
| DIBt certification|admission|approval | General construction inspection approval from the German Institute for Building Technology – proof that a stationary refuelling system|refilling system complies with building regulations. |
| Double walled construction | A design principle in which an inner tank is enclosed by a second, outer tank, so that in the event of a leak from the inner tank, no leakage occurs into the environment. |
| Notification and inspection requirements | Refuelling systems|Refilling systems with a capacity of 1,000 litres or more must be notified to the relevant local water authority. Systems with a capacity of between 1,000 and 10,000 l require a one-off inspection by a qualified expert prior to commissioning; systems with a capacity exceeding 10,000 l must also be inspected at regular intervals every 5 years. |
| Requirement for specialist contractors (§ 62 AwSV) | The installation, internal cleaning, repair and decommissioning of systems for handling water-polluting substances may only be carried out by recognised specialist contractors. |
| Leak detection device | A technical device fitted to double walled storage tanks which automatically detects a leak between the inner and outer walls. |

ADVANTAGES OF THE CEMO CUBE
Dimensionally stable
The honeycomb structure and steel struts (1,000–2,500 litres) provide exceptional dimensional stability.
Perfectly ergonomic
All components are clearly arranged at an optimal working height within the collection tray.
Clean dispensing
The integral dispensing nozzle bracket catches any dripping diesel after refuelling.
Easy access
Inspection hatch with a clear opening of 380 mm for tank inspection (5,000 and 7,500 litres). Gas springs make it easier to open and close the lid. Cable duct for easy pump connection.
Easy to lift
There are Ø 20 mm lifting points around the circumference for shackles or hoists to lift the empty tank from above (3,500–7,500 litres).
Open on all sides
With the lid open, you have unrestricted access to all components from three sides.
Safety
