Legal framework for load securing
Water barrels and irrigation systems are often transported on vehicle flatbeds, moved using forklifts or lifted by crane. As such, they are subject to load securing requirements.
The legal basis for this is Section 22 of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), which requires loads to be properly secured. This requirement is specified in VDI 2700 ‘Load Securing on Road Vehicles’ – a generally recognised technical standard. Features such as forklift pockets, crane lifting eyes and locking cams on the CEMbox facilitate safe handling during loading, unloading and transport.
Our containers are designed and constructed to meet the requirements for load securing in accordance with the law.

A series of guidelines issued by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) on the securing of loads on road vehicles. Not a law, but a generally recognised rule of good engineering practice within the meaning of Section 22 of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO). |

Glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) and polyethylene (PE) – the two main materials used for CEMO transport and storage containers, each with different properties in terms of weight, dimensional stability and range of applications. |
| Positional load securing | A securing method in which the load is prevented from slipping by direct contact with end walls, side walls, stanchions or similar components. |
